About Itran Travel

itran /ⵉⵜⵔⴰⵏ/ plural noun meaning stars in indigenous Amazigh language of North Africa

Itran Travel is family run business born out of our love for Morocco and a desire to share this beautiful country with travelers looking to discover the real Morocco. Itran Travel was founded in Sidi Ali Tafrouate, a small town deep in the Sahara desert, where our co-founder Omar and his family grew up herding goats and camels.

Our guides know and love every corner of this country, its customs, traditions and peoples, and our knowledge allows us to offer you an unforgettable experience that you won't forget.

We only offer private tours - so if you book a tour with us, you will be the only guests on the trip. This doesn't mean that you have to be a large group (although we cater for large groups too) and many of our guests are couples or small friend groups. We find that having your own group and guide allows you to really enjoy your experience, travel at your own pace, and spend time doing the things that most interest you

Finally, all the tour plans which you see on our website are only guides. We don't take a one size fits all approach and one thing we love about offering private trips is that every trip is unique - once you get in touch with us, we will work with you to plan the perfect itinerary, activities and accommodation for a truly memorable experience!

What makes us different?

With over ten years of experience in the tourism industry here in Morocco, we founded Itran Travel driven by a desire to solve some of the issues travelers commonly face on tours in Morocco. What do we mean by this? Before your trip, you will receive clear, easy to understand information and we'll always be available to answer any of your questions before your departure.

Unlike other tour companies, you won't be passed around from company to company; if you book with us, we'll be accompanying your on your trip.

And finally, we don't believe in commission-driven pit stops where tour guides put pressure on their guests to make purchases at certain shops or sites with the goal of earning commission.

Omar grew up herding goats in the desert and been bringing guests to the desert for over 10 years. His favorite part of running Itran Travel is seeing guests experience the beauty of the desert.
