This is the tour for you if you would like to visit the Sahara Desert, but don’t want to spend a long time in the car. Taking advantage of the new Ryanair flight route from London Stansted – Ouarzazate, you will fly directly into Ouarzazate city, known as the ‘gateway to the desert.’
From there, we will depart on a 4-day circular desert adventure, finishing in Ouarzazate. Flying directly into and from this airport reduces the driving time spent on desert tours departing from Marrakech or Fes, and allows you to take the desert at a slower pace.
Arrive Saturday and leave Tuesday.

The starting price for this trip is £300 per person, based on a family of 4 travelling. Please note that the price per person varies dependent on group size, choice of accommodation and time of year. The larger the group the more cost effective the per-person rate.
You will arrive into Ouarzazate in the late morning, where your driver/guide will be waiting for you at the airport. We will head out of the city, driving through Skoura, where we will visit the Kasbah of Amerhidl. We will then continue through the Rose Valley and Kalaat Mgouna, known for its beautiful pink roses, rose oil and the yearly festival of roses.
We continue driving to the village of Ksour of Ait Youl, known for its rocky slopes with and beautiful palm grove. After reaching Ksour Ait Arbi (The Hills of a Thousand Bodies), you will be impressed by the eye-catching rocks that look like human feet. We will take a short stop, then we keep driving till we get to Taghia n’Dades and Msemrir.
We will have a lunch break at the fabulous Gorges of Todra, you can take a moment to relax by the riverside and appreciate the extremely beautiful, wild landscapes. After lunch, we will drive further east along the Tinejdad Valley, palm groves and stark hills to get to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
On arrival, we will leave our vehicle to take a camel ride tour at sunset to our camp for the night. You will have dinner under the stars and will be invited to a Berber party around the camp fire.
Overnight in a luxury bivouac in the middle of the dunes. Quite a journey from Stansted Airport earlier this morning!
To get the most out of your desert experience, we recommend you wake up early in the morning to watch the splendid sunrise over the Sahara dunes. Take a hearty breakfast in your camp, then join your driver to continue your desert tour to Khamlia, a tea-break with locals in the famous Gnaoua village, then we will head to Taouz and the small village of Ouzina.
You will have lunch in Ramlia, before driving to Sidi Ali. This is the 'wild and unexplored desert,' far from tourist routes, and an opportunity to learn more about the nomadic way of life. You will spend the evening in a desert auberge with swimming pool. You have the option to enjoy a private hammam before dinner in the peace of the desert.
Overnight in Tafroute Sidi Ali.
After breakfast in Sidi Ali, we will head to Agdz off road via the famous moto-rally road connecting Paris to Dakar. In the afternoon we will arrive to Agdz. With endless palm groves and beautiful earthen clay architecture, the fortified ksour village of Agdz is located on the old caravan route connecting Marrakech to Timbuktu and played an important role for merchants carrying goods across the Sahara. We will take a drive to visit the Tizgui Pools, a magnificent natural pool surrounded by palm and fig trees, where you can take a dip if you are feeling brave. We will return to spend the evening in a beautiful lodge nestled in the palm groves, where you will enjoy dinner.
After an early breakfast in Agdz, we will head back to Ouarzazate to the airport for your morning flight back to London Stansted.
This is probably one of the most exotic trips you can take from London in only 4 days!
