After breakfast, embark on a journey to the Atlas Mountains, far from the typical tourist routes. You’ll visit the Azzaden Valley, passing the picturesque town of Asni, and arrive at a rustic mountain lodge. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in Amazigh culture with a cooking class where you’ll learn how to make tannourt (traditional Berber bread).

Return to Marrakech for a full day of sightseeing. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Koutoubia Minaret, the impressive Palace of Bahia, and the Ben Youssef Quranic School. Wander through the winding medina alleys to discover artisans at work and finish your day at Jemaa el-Fna Square.

Day 4: Marrakech to Ifrane

After a restful morning, head to the Middle Atlas. Stop by the Cedar Forest of Azrou to walk among the towering trees and, if you’re lucky, spot some Barbary apes. Then continue to Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” with its ski chalets and manicured gardens. Ifrane is a charming, peaceful escape, and if you’re visiting in winter, there’s a chance of seeing snow!

Day 5: Ifrane to Chefchaouen via Meknes and Volubilis

Visit the imperial city of Meknes, exploring its grand Bab Mansour gate and the impressive Sahrij Swani granary. From there, make your way to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, famous for its well-preserved mosaics. Afterward, continue to Chefchaouen, the iconic blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. Spend the evening wandering its peaceful streets, exploring the shops and medina.

Day 6: Chefchaouen Exploration

Enjoy a full day in Chefchaouen, known for its stunning blue-painted buildings and relaxed atmosphere. Visit the Uta el Hammam Square, see the Rass el Maa Waterfall, and explore the local craft shops. A visit to the Spanish Mosque will provide a fantastic view of the town. Relax with a cup of traditional mint tea on a terrace before heading onward to Fes in the evening.

Day 7: Full Day in Fes

Fes is one of Morocco’s most historic cities, home to the world-renowned Al Karaouine University. On your guided tour, explore the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the Tanneries. Visit the Royal Palace, stroll through the Jewish Mellah quarter, and see the traditional ceramic factories. End your day with a panoramic view of the city from a hilltop lookout.

Day 8: Fes to Midelt

Today, you’ll leave Fes and head into the Middle Atlas towards Midelt. Along the way, marvel at the stunning mountain landscapes and stop in Cirque de Jafaar for a short hike through Berber villages. Midelt, often overlooked by tourists, offers a tranquil atmosphere perfect for a relaxing night in the mountains.

Day 9: Midelt to Merzouga

Your desert adventure begins as you travel through the breathtaking Ziz Gorge and head towards Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara. After a stop in Rissani (famous for its traditional Amazigh souk), arrive at Merzouga. Here, you’ll take a camel ride into the heart of the desert to watch a sunset over the golden dunes. Spend the night at a desert camp under the stars.

Day 10: Off Grid Desert Day

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes before heading to Khamlia and Ramlia, two small desert villages. Learn about the desert ecosystem and nomadic life from your guide, who will share stories and knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the desert before returning to your secluded spot for another peaceful night under the stars.

Day 11: Desert to Dades Gorges and Ouarzazate

After your desert experience, leave the sand dunes behind and head towards the Toudra Gorge and the Dades Valley. These breathtaking valleys offer incredible rock formations, perfect for a short hike and stunning photographs. You’ll also pass through the Rose Valley, famous for its annual rose harvest. End your day in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and home to the famous Atlas Studios.

Day 12: Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou

This morning, visit the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a backdrop for many films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. The winding mountain roads offer spectacular views before you arrive back in the bustling city in the evening.
