This itinerary gives you a flavor of the trip, however all our trips are custom designed, so once you get in touch with us, we can make any additions or adjustments based on your dream itinerary!
On the first day, departure from Marrakech begins with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where winding roads reveal Amazigh villages and dramatic mountain scenery. The route continues toward the famous ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its earthen architecture and cinematic history.
After time to explore and enjoy lunch nearby, the journey proceeds through Ouarzazate and into the Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most impressive oasis regions.
By late afternoon, guests arrive in Agdz and check in at their hotel, a traditional kasbah-style guesthouse surrounded by palm groves. The evening is relaxed, allowing time to enjoy the peaceful setting, Moroccan hospitality, and dinner.
The second day begins with breakfast before continuing deeper into the Draa Valley, where palm oases, traditional villages, and historic kasbahs line the route south. As the paved road gradually gives way to desert landscapes, the journey transitions into an off-road adventure toward Erg Chegaga, one of Morocco’s largest and most remote dune systems.
Arriving in the afternoon, experience the vast scale of the Sahara with sweeping golden dunes stretching to the horizon. Time is provided to relax, walk in the sand, or enjoy a camel ride before sunset. The evening unfolds at a desert camp with dinner, traditional music, and stargazing under exceptionally clear skies, offering a true sense of remoteness and tranquility.
On the third day, wake early to watch sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at camp. The return journey crosses desert plains toward Foum Zguid and reconnects with the main road network, offering a different perspective of southern Morocco’s landscapes.
Travelling north again, the route passes through varied terrain including rocky desert, small towns, and mountain scenery before re-entering the Atlas range. Scenic stops are made along the way, and arrival back in Marrakech is typically in the late afternoon or early evening, concluding a compact yet immersive Sahara experience that blends adventure, culture, and comfort.
We believe the magic of the Moroccan desert is best experienced away from large tour groups and rigid schedules. A private tour allows you to travel at your own pace, stop whenever you like for photos or breaks, and enjoy a much more authentic and comfortable journey.
Unlike many shared group tours, there are no forced shopping stops, crowded vehicles, or rushed itineraries. You’ll have your own private driver, personalized service, and carefully selected accommodations to ensure a more relaxed and memorable experience.
For families or groups travelling together, private tours also offer excellent value, as the cost per person can often be similar to a shared tour — but with a far higher quality experience.
To confirm your trip, we require a 20% deposit, which can be securely paid online using a debit or credit card.
We are a UK registered company and accept all major international cards, including American Express, with no additional payment fees.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before your arrival date.
